Kidderminster area guide

Kidderminster is the largest town in the Wyre Forest area and is world famous for its historic connection with the production of fine carpets. Kidderminster affords easy access into the Wyre Forest for family walking and cycling. To the north of Kidderminster, with its famous caves the spectacular Kinver Edge sandstone ridge lies. Kidderminster is host to great festivals and events such as the August canal festival centring around the historic Worcestershire and Staffordshire canal based in the town.

The Kidderminster Railway Museum is located within a Great Western Railway Victorian warehouse on the Severn Valley Railway site on Comberton Hill in Kidderminster.

The West Midland Safari Park located midway between Kidderminster and Bewdley is famous for its pride of White Lions, Tigers and Rhinos featured at the park, alongside a huge variety of fun rides in the amusement area suited to everyone. Beautiful gardens around the north of Kidderminster include Bodenham Arboretum and Arley Arboretum. Arley being one of the station stops along the Severn Valley Railway. To the south, Harvington Hall. A beautiful Elizabethan manor house with its feature wall hangings and medieval moat.
