High Profile Firms Announce Merger

Two of the best known names in property have announced their plans to merge. McCartneys and Phipps & Pritchard are to join forces from January 2012.

Both firms were established in the 1800's and are recognised leaders in their fields offering a comprehensive range of property related services to their clients.

John Uffold Chairman of McCartneys said "The merger of our two practices will mean that we can offer an unrivalled service across our expanded area. We will have 20 Estate Agency offices across five counties, from Powys through Shropshire, Herefordshire, Worcestershire and into the West Midlands."

Tim Elliot, Senior Partner of Phipps & Pritchard said "We have long established ourselves as the leading general practice of Chartered Surveyors within the local area, it is therefore a natural progression to expand our business with this amalgamation."

The merger will make the new practice one of the largest, multi disciplined, independently owned property firms in the country.
