About Phipps and Pritchard

Phipps and Pritchard are one of the oldest established firms of Surveyors and Estate Agents in the Midlands, being founded in 1848 by Mr Arthur Clibbery when he relocated from Birmingham to set up in business in Kidderminster. In 1906 the firm became known as Clibbery and Phipps when Mr E A C Phipps became a Partner and, in 1921, Mr Reginald Pritchard joined the Partnership and the name that is now synonymous with property in the Wyre Forest and North Worcestershire areas came into being.

In the years following the Second World War, Mr Phipps and Mr Pritchard both died but, in 1948, Mr John Cory had joined the Partnership, followed by Mr Gerry Morris and Mr David Ward. The present Senior Partner, Tim Elliott, joined in the 1960’s and Richard Cory became the second generation of his family to be made a Partner in 1977. In the early 1980’s David Parker came on board when he merged his practice, to be followed by Chris Rees and Chris Smith in the mid 1980’s. David Parker retired in 2003, whilst David Ward still remains a Consultant having spent over fifty years with the firm. Philip Herdson joined the Partnership in 2004 when he merged his Bridgnorth Office and the Phipps and Pritchard office coverage was extended northwards up the Severn Valley.

The present Phipps and Pritchard Partners, all of whom are Chartered Surveyors, are committed to providing a quality service based on integrity, just like the firm’s founder Mr Arthur Clibbery had in 1848.

Today Phipps and Pritchard offer an unrivalled level of services which include residential property sales, residential surveys and valuations, residential lettings and property management, commercial property sales, letting and rent reviews, property auctions, overseas property sales, financial services and licence trade valuation.
